Collating a paragraph
In this activity, you are asked to choose sentences to make up a paragraph. There are different combinations that can work well, so the aim is to choose sentences that work well together as a whole. Think about the following when you are collating your paragraph:
- whether the voice is active or passive
- the signposting words that are used, and what they relate to
- the logical order and flow of the sentences
Choose a combination of these four sentences in order to make a paragraph. The sentences are adapted from a coursework student's essay (with permission).
